MY STORY
How I FOUND MY PASSION...
As a child we all have professions we envision ourselves becoming. It wasn’t found till my senior year. I knew I wanted to do something with a purpose, something to give me a chance to grow and learn- to be ever changing. I just never knew that it would lead me to teaching. I found my heart in a third grade classroom where dreams, trust, and innocence float in the air, and the non-judge mental yet uncensored students soak up everything like sponges. These kids want to learn, they get excited for tests and they love with all their hearts. I learned I could never not be smiling in this profession and that the kids give me a chance to re-evaluate myself. I now believe in being more like a third grader; trusting, playful, caring, open minded, a believer, a leaner, and an optimistic.

WHAT I DO AND WHY I DO IT:
Hi I’m Lindsey Farmer, I am in CAPS teacher ed because of passion and goals to become a teacher. I believe that as a society we should constantly be growing, learning, and changing. I want to immerse myself in student learning to become someone that leaves a mark on children’s lives. Teaching them my same philosophy on wanting to learn in ways that are new, exciting, and fun.
